a lad on cruise notts has 1.6 injectors, 1.6 manifold and a 2.0 fuel pump on his x14xe he says its running around 120 hp with addition of leads, exhaust system, decat and induction kit?

First off: 1.6 injectors will just cause the engine to overfuel as they have a different cycle to the 1.4 ones as far as I'm aware.
A 2.0 fuel pump is the same as a 1.0 fuel pump. It goes by number of injectors rather than engine size.
Those other mods wont do shit to increase the power. Especially plugs and leads on a near standard n/a engine.

There are some misguided people out there who work stuff out in odd ways. For example: K&N = 15bhp, exhast = 20bhp. So for £200 you have got yourself a 35bhp hike in power. Yea, you get what I mean

The only logical way you could get more power is by fitting an X16XE head. This has larger ports than the X14XE head.
Wether it fits or increases power i'm not sure.
