is there any way to ge the mic in port/jack thing to act like the sound output one? only reason i ask is because i dropped the laptop and it landed on the audio out wire pushing the output into the laptop and now its shafted, so i was just wondering if i could use the mic one instead.

its a ac97 audio soundcard thing..
