May be to do with witch g/box you use on the conversion then lol.
ive tried it without the bar...but prefer the gokart handling with it on.
just wondering what the benefits of the spacer blocks are.

you need the spacers on the arb cause of on some of the conversions the manifold hits the arb mine was miles away

Depends on how you space the ARB, if it is done using the blocks with 2 holes so that it increases the gap between the tie bars and the ARB then no, there is no effect on handling characteristics.
If you lower the front of the tie bar, which in turn lowers the ARB, then you get a difference as that is essentially an anti-dive kit. I am refering to the bit with the 3 vertical bolts that go into the front lower cross member.

You used to be able to get them off the shelf, not sure if you still can, maybe try Chris Astley, he would be your best bet.

I know he does them as a series of plates, but not sure if he does them in a one piece alloy billet like those pictured above?

If you have access to a mill all you need is some 25mm billet and drill the 3 corresponding holes. The bolts are just headbolts!

I think I have a tie bar in the garage still? I will check for you tomorrow. If I have I will knock up a technical drawing for you of the top aspect!
