got 1.6 16v astra engine is my corsa trouble is its bit tappety and i cant bloody stand it reminds me of what the old fiestas sound but not as bad lol other than replacing the tappets is there anything else that can be done?

cheers mate had a look sounds bit like mine coz has a slight oil leak aswel! did u change your oil and filter?

I've not had them changed since my cylinder head got done in march, so i'm gonna try that next. It's just fukin annoying, car still runs completely fine but it's just that noise

well annouyin aint it mine runs great too, if i cant sort it il just get a louder air filter and exhaust lol!!

Flush the engine and change the oil for some decent oil.
Take it for a run.

run the car up switch it off wip oil cap off and see if it seems quite dry just had similar prob on cav gsi 2000, if its pretty dry could be oil pick up blocked with crap. does it have regualr oil and filter changes ?
if that does seem blocked best to whip it off clean it up and take rocker cover off make sure nothing too worn or damaged from running dry.
