one thing i learnt with my old xe is... check the tops of the spark plugs as they do vibrate loose lol (noticed your project thread saying you developed a nasty missfire)

hmm tps might get jerky acceleration as it wont read properly, wrong fuel mixture, and so on

when one of the wires came off mine the engine was like slow to respond put your foot down slowly and it would do nothing then it would jolt and go, same coming down the revs pretty much
