Constantly getting lag in COD, youtube vids arent loading, webpages taking forever to load.
Used to be perfect, its BT with a Homehub thing.
Done a line test and gettin 39kbps opposed to the 200/250kbps its meant to be.
Awaiting a new downstairs phone socket because the original one was damaged, would the phoneline being plugged into the test socket affect this?

Shouldn't do really... tried rebooting the router with nothing else plugged into the phonelines?

Try it with nothing else plugged in but the router into the test socket in the master socket. Not to piss on your bonfire but unplugging it for more than 30 seconds isn't going to make any difference
Oh, and, don't take those line tests as the bible, lots of things can affect them and make them produce some shite results.

Change the channel if this is the case, channel 1, 6 and 11 are the only ones that should be used, that way you won't get overlapping interference from other channels

I had this problem when I was on BT and I called them every day for 2 weeks just to get fobbed off with the same BS so told them to GTF and been on O2 pretty much problem free for 2 years, even though BT told me I'd still have problems. Twats!
