Right, can't seem to find a decent tool to do this and getting pissed off with it now 
I've got 23 mkv files I need to convert to dvd. Ideally I would like to convert and burn discs in one go but if thats not possible whats the best tool to convert mkv to avi?

avi2dvd will work and it's freeware
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Went with 'Any Video Convertor' in the end and then 'AVStoDVD'.
All sorted so my sister has a quiet six year old for a couple of days
