Is there any sound difference between these filters ive got a pipercross at the minute on a 1.6 sport but its a bit fucked due to its age so ive bought a pvd one off someone but i cant have it till he comes back off his hols, so i was wondering will i here a different noise!!

these posts becoming common now, BFO would sound beefy...but nothing beats a drilled air box and panel filter

Yeah i have got a drilled airbox with a pipercross panel filter.
If i had the money i would get a Viper anyday they sound mint

Ive just got a viper bought it second hand for £68 quid plus gotta buy a new cold air feed for it so costing about 100 in total. Do they really sound good? I heard they are really quiet?

the viper has a distinctive sound! i like it. performs better that a drilled air box too

I had a BFO on a 1.2 and it was very loud! Too bad the petrol went down faster and gaint flatspots!

petrol will only go down faster cuz ur booting it everwhere!

And the BFO has a cone shaped bit of aluminium that sort of channels the air into the car.... don't think the piperx has this.

at the end of the Day the only differance in the 2 is looks, as proformace will be the same etc

as the Throttlebody will only suck as much air as it can even if u have a 30meter round filter
