if i was to do this upgrade in the future...what are the differences between engines? is it the head or the bottom end? i fancy lookin for something to rebuild over several months and as im getting a 1400 or 1600 sport i think the bigger engine would be ideal to rebuild, just wondered if i could get away with only building half of it

Just the bottom end and map in the ecu.
when you swap bottom ends it would be an idea to lap th evalves in and then replace the stem seals
Although a whole spare head would be handy that way you could have it flowed.

why not just hang onto the c16xe engine and do some work on that.
