where can i get information like performance figures for all vauxhall engines?

the reason im askin is because i have the following 2 scrapped cars -

Vaux Astra G-reg (1990) with a 1.4 8v (14NZ) 63K MILES (paid £20)
Vaux Nova C-reg (1985) with a 1.3 8v (13SR) 52K MILES (paid £30)

i want to change engine into my corsa which of the above only would be best? my corsa is -

Vaux Corsa K-reg (1993) with a 1.2 8v (????) 110K Miles?

the nova has a very quick 1.3 sr engine, but if i put it into my corsa would it be alot slower in a corsa than the nova

not sure if the astra engine has a carb?


please advise?

PLEASE NOTE - i dont want to buy another engine im only 18 and cant afford insurance on anythin high
