We have snapped the only key we have for our corsa today...
Can anyone advise a price / location for a lockset and how easy the barrel etc is to change?
Many Thanks

I did exactly the same thing m8.
Scrap Yard, £30 for full lockset incl ignition barrel, both doors and bootlock.
If your key has a chip inside you will need to put it into your new key or your car wont start.
Its not hard to change the locks just a lil fiddly, door cards off, undo a couple clips and bolts then swap over and re assemble.

take the plastics off around the barrel so you can see the tube that the barrel sits inside.
on top of the tube there is a pin hole, slide a thin allen key, screw driver or what ever down it and it will release the barrel. It should just slide out

Check with your insurance company. You often have about £300 given to you towards new locks if keys are lost/snapped etc. Not sure if it affects your NCB. But yeah, check with your insurance

Guy at the scrapper mentioned needing to use something from the existing barrel?
Any ideas why he mentioned that at all?
thanks

Transponder unit around barrel that reads the chip insude the key perhaps???
If ure car has a chip inside the origional key just put it into your new key and your sorted.

Thanks - without this im guessing no spark?
So if i fit it and it starts - then it wont need the transponder stuff doing?

Yup, without this the car will just turn and turn but not fire up.
Pop your snapped key open and check for a chip, if theres 1 there just pop it into your new key. It will then read off the transponder on your current ignition barrel.

Tried @ lunch using a small allen key to release the barrel from the new rack we have got from the scrapper with key...
It seems to feel like i'm jamming it more when putting the allen key in the mentioned hole to release the barrels...
