just bought my first car (corsa sport 1.4 N reg) and i have got a couple of issues on it. the light in the boot doesnt work ive tried changing the bulb but still no luck. ive just had to change the bulbs that light up the speedo and rev counter which was a right bitch. just wondering what could the problem be if the light in the boot doesnt come on? cheers.

Are the wires connected to it?

yeah theres theres 4 wires in total i believe that are in 2 different clip on things if you know what i mean.

You forgot to mention the other bits too bro?

(bit smokey, clutch bearings a bit noisy, brakes?) a good service and a few bits and it will look the dogs

The boot was open? As in the lid was up.

hes at college mate im free tho. iv sorted out the wheel balancing put a new tyre on there and had tracking done ive also done the blue bulbs in the dash. i havent put the splitter on yet tho

not till like 5 mate. my cars over in bradford mate. could it be a fuse ive heard theres some fuses under the bonnet ?

Fuse??

have a look at the push pin that releses when the boot is open. thats what tells the light to come on

well im pretty sure that the fuse is the same fuse that controls the cigareete light and the glove box lifght and they both work.

The push switch on the end of the tailgate is connected to a connector block just inside the side panelling on the left. Unplug it and check the connections, the one for the light should be the purple/brown one. Mine had corroded for some reason so if thats the case just bypass the plug with the wire at the other side of the plug and it should work. If not just check the wiring itself for breaks.
