Right, a house has come up for sale in an area where I really want to move too and has lovely views over the river. It is stupidly cheap for the area which has got me thinking there is something wrong with it but I'll find that out when I go to view it later in the week.
The decor is awful though and it is in need of major modernisation.
What I would like to know is how much am I looking at for a complete re-wire, fitted kitchen, replacement of the porch and replacement of all windows and exterior doors. I know prices vary greatly based on quality of fixtures and fittings etc but I'd like rough prices to help me with my sums!

Only dealing with stuff in the past or from what other people have sorted I'd budget:
1-1.5K for the rewire
2.5-4K for the kitchen with full appliances (needed?)
2K for the windows and doors (UPVC?)
Porch - no idea sorry.
It's all subjective though depending on who you know and quality of finish wanted etc....
I'm sure others will other different prices to maybe get an average

10k would get it all sorted to a good standard but as you said it depends on fittings etc, you could quite easily spend 10k on a kitchen if you wanted

135k, seems far to cheap for the area. I could sell mine and have wedge left over for renovations.

Id work out your budget then double it and you will have a realistic price
rewire - £2k
kitchen - £6k
windows - £8k
doors - £1.5k
porch? front porch or conservatory?
porch - £5k
these are all rough prices off the top of my head by looking at the pictures as particulars wouldnt open up
mentions radiators on description but dont see anything about central heating/boiler etc
may require a new boiler, insulaton in an old house like that wont be great ideally you would weant to insulate all external wall with insulated plasterboard or the likes which is a big job
My advice would be to estimate all works on the high side
Alot also depends how much ou do yourself

Gutted, had a look at it today and there is absolutely nowhere to park our cars and no obvious way of creating a driveway Looks like its a no go and I assume this is why its so cheap.
