Hi there, wonder if anybody can help with my problem
I bought a 1.4 sri last week that had been stood for a while, got it home charged the battery up and added some petrol, the place i got it off had totally drained the tank as they were going to do some welding underneath but then decided to sell it and its showing just above the red on the fuel gauge now, i have checked the plugs and they are sparking fine but i dont have any fuel in the lines, paperclip test shows 12,19,29
thought it was the fuel pump relay but ive stripped out the rear seats now and can clearly hear the fuel pump whirring when i turn the engine over, am i right in thinking i should have fuel in the pipes if its pumping? i am starting to think when the tank was drained something was knocked off and the fuel pump cant pick any fuel up, anybody got any suggestions that i can try?

Got it running, had to add another fivers worth of fuel and it fired straight up, yippee hehe
