What is the best way to connect your PC to your HDTV?

Would it be through the Mini HDMI port on your graphics card to the HDMI port on your TV?

This would OBV be using a Mini HDMI to HDMI converter.

Probably, or just use the VGA connection which is easier.

The mini hdmi has to be better than VGA tho right? The mini hdmi would be just as easy as VGA wouldnt it??

If you have HDMI use it! Other wise get a DVI video card if you havent already got one and use a DVI->HDMI lead.. ITs worth looking for a DVI card that supports audio too.

VGA will obviously work but its an analogue signal.

Debatable, but using VGA there is more chance introducing interference into the signal chain with it converting digital to analog and then back again.
Best solution is to keep it digital, so either using HDMI on the telly and feed it from a HDMI or DVI port on the PC.

I read various opinions on various websites, and you're right, it is debatable, opinions on both ends of the scale. But, you're probably right, digital all the way. When I said 'easier' before, I meant for the obvious reasons like most people have that cable knocking around plus everyone has that port on their PC regardless of card, etc.

I use a vga cable and another cable for sound. There is a small slot at the back of my tv which has pc written next to it and thats where the sound cable goes

Its 1 cable.....carries both VGA and sound.

Thats what i have but they arent combined.
A standard vga cable cannot carry sound but that one above has the sound cable attached to it but that doesnt mean the vga can carry sound.

I know it doesnt.

But its the ease of use. 1 cable to carry both VGA and Sound.
