I've got the Cambridge Audio 540R V2 amp running a 5.1 setup with a PS3 connected with HDMI for video and optical for audio then running through to a LCD TV
When i'm playing a game my amp automatically switches to DTS audio and shows this on the display, if i'm watching a Bluray movie though it doesnt switch to DTS and I have to manually switch the amp to Dolby Pro Logic II which clearly isnt as good (unless i'm mistaken).
Is there any reason for this, or is there something i've overlooked, perhaps in a menu somewhere maybe?

In the settings change the sound to bitstream.

Why would that not affect the games though? The games are already playing with DTS audio so surely the bluray movies would follow suit?

Problem solved, it was in the movies section of the PS3 menu, rather than the audio section. I switched the optical output of movies to Bitstream (Mixed).
