I'm working in Jersey at the end of April for 2 weeks and wanting to take my laptop with me. Does anybody know of companies that sell one that will work?

Do jersey use the same networks as the mainland uk? If so, which ever networks are there will work. If not, you will be roaming (no different to going Germany, France etc) so will cost muchos more. Maybe buy a sim card on Pay as you go data when you get there.

For some reason in the back of my mind I don't think they use our networks.

JT - http://www.jerseytelecom.com/templates/LayoutB.aspx?id=2356

Sure (Cable Wireless) - http://www.surecw.com/mobile/page-315

Airtel & Vodafone - http://www.airtel-vodafone.com/content/117

You're right though, they don't use our networks so you'll pay roaming charges on British-soil network tarrifs.

Depends if you are looking at loads of images or not, 3GB should be fine for browsing. Just make sure you take some porn.
