Right guys, need hopefully some of your guys help.
Seen a studio apartment I may purchase, thing is it is quite small.
has one main room and a shower room, main room is 5x4m.
Anyone live in a studio flat? Just wondering if it feels really cramped or not? Will only be me living in it.

I would advise against it.
Better to get a one bedroom flat as a minimum, trust me living in a studio flat will do your head in.

I'm in a 1 bed place. My living room alone is bigger than that space and even then is hardly what I'd call massive. Its not small, but then I don't have to fit a bed in there
You need another space - the thought of living, eating and sleeping in the same box is a bit demoralising tbh.
1 bed minimum.

Studio's are horrible. I lived in one when I was 18. Shit for when you have guests, etc. I'd definitely find a 1 bed if I was you.
Saying that, these local studios are lovely...

To the OP I would defo go for a 1 bed of you can, you'll be pulling your hair out in a (traditional) studio.

I have looked at those studios before and tried to implement them on developments we have, but the price is somewhat high!
For that studio I mentioned, its £40k, yet a 1 bed flat is over 80k!

It depends on what it's like really. In my old building the studios were literally one room with a bathroom attached - shit and not worth a penny. In my current building they are significantly better as the bedroom area is a partitioned part behind the kitchen area, they are basically a very narrow one bed. The latter seems to be getting a bit more common and maybe worth considering?

I wouldn't buy a studio, or even a flat...traditionally these are the least likely to appreciate in value, although I guess it depends on area.
Can you rent for a few months while you build a larger deposit?

I can rent for as long as I like, I live at home
Just to go from that to a decent flat/house, the deposit would need to be 20k!
