My central heating pump has gone, i was always told you just buy the same colour pump

However ive just had a quick look in toolstation and screwfix online and though they sell green pumps, some of them say 5m head and 6m head, i dont really get what that means.

Help

colour is bollocks. Wilo ones are green and grundfos a maroon colour

all makes are interchangeable. just because you have a Wilo now doesnt mean you need to buy another Wilo. if yours says 15/60 on it then

Id get this. best you can get http://www.screwfix.com/p/grundfos-15-60-domestic-circulating-pump/67637

You can replace with another 15/60. Grundfos one is a good shout. Might need to grab yourself some of these too. http://www.screwfix.com/p/gate-pump-valve-22mm/81629

Mine went a few months ago. just ordered one online. Ours was one of the 15/60 Grundfos ones

Luckly I had valves above and below so just shut them off.

Had to go buy a spanner large enough for the connections but was just a case of undoing them, old one out, new one in, screw up and do the wiring.

Very easy job.

Easy enough to change with some common sense and some decent pump valves

15/60 just means that it's 15mm (1/2") Connections and the 60 is Metres of head (Pressure) i.e a 15/60 will deliver 60kPa of pressure

15 means the internal waterway diameter, connections are 1 1/2"
