Author Problem with temperature guage on C20XE

Got all engine running etc but temperature gauge isn't working. Tried earthing wire and no movement in needle.

Any help please lads.

Blue to blue connected in drivers footwell?

If so replace the sensor, only a few quid from motor factors mate

The temp gauge needs wired to the blue wire of the car loom above the gear box. It's in the wide black plug along with a black a green/blue and a blue /red. Thts should sort it

If it doesnt sort it mate, replace the temp sensor. If that doesnt work thermostat

The thermostat has nothing to do with the temp gauge not working but only the flow of water.

Buy a proper GM CTS. Don't make the same mistake I did and buy a CTS from the motor factors (Euro Car Parts) as it made my old 20XE over fuel like a bitch.

Is the temp gauge on the clocks ok?
