Hey...
Both have some decent deals on at the moment and I'm tempted to move over from O2, who I have been with for an age.
Iirc Tesco Mobile run off the O2 network but I know little about 3. The pro for 3 is that they offer "unlimited" 3G whereas Tesco is 1GB.
I'd appreciate input from you all.

I'm on Three, get the same signal as my o2 iPad around all the places I've compared it. Have no complaints so far, but it's only been a week.

Make sure it's "All you can eat", otherwise it'll have a FUP; and note that Three comes with TrafficSense (aka traffic shaping/management), so have a read up on that before you sign anything as there have been reports of people getting horrendous speeds (single figure KB/s) once throttling kicks in.
Always worth checking the coverage map and also note that in some areas, Three still has 2G fallback to the Orange/T-mobile network.

Thanks for the responses, 3 seems to be possibly the way to go.

I got a Three contract for the first time when I got the iPhone 4S, been mainly with O2 before then. Probably just my area but my signal is atrocious in a lot of the places I visit regularly. When i have full signal and 3G i can't fault it at all, but that's pretty rare. Could hardly get anything but full signal when i went to Wembley a few weeks ago, maybe I need to move closer to the 3 Masts
There's a coverage checker on the Three website, so have a look at that before you decide

Pop - with reference coverage in your local area, I'm also in Reading (work just off J11 on M4, live in Caversham) and the reception round here is spot on.

Been with Three for the last 2 years, and have just upgraded and stayed with them.
Better coverage in my normal areas than I get on my work phone which is O2
Also, their 3G network is quicker than my broadband...

Dom - I've had a quick check and it is "all you can eat" data which is good.
evilrob - I had checked the coverage and it looked very good round here. It's good to know that someone local can back that up!

I moved from o2 to '3' for the new iPhone 5. No complaints so far and 3g and signal performance is alot better than previous provider.

^^ Same 3G is 6mb at work on o2, my O2 Broadband at home is less than that
Actually, thinking about it, 6mb sounds ridiculous but I'm sure that's what speedtest showed, I'll try it again tomorrow.
