It would be going with an Alpine MRD-M300, 300w RMS monoblock amp. It runs 300w at 2ohm, so i would want a dual 4ohm voice coil sub. Any reccomondations??
Audiobahn?
Alpine?

Definatly get a JL Audio 12 W3!!!!! 250Watts RMS Dual Voice Coil Sub and if you got a D2 one (2 ohm) it would be great!!!!!!

I own two type r's but i'd say JL W3 V2. Give it an efficient big sealed box and it will give some.

I was thinking of a 12" Type-R, as i currently have a 10" Type-S and have been pleased with it the whole time, just time for an upgrade.
Lots of people reccomend JL, but i have never sen or heard a JL sub b4! So i'm not sure LOL

THE best place to buy audio in the U.K bar none. I went to school with a lot of guys who work at their branch in Notts. Best customer service going if you ask me AND very good prices on their kit. They are authorised JL dealers and should price-match.

If you dont go for JL Audio then your a fool My 15" w3 d4 pushes out 143.3dB. Run from a 500RMS amp.
So all i can say is GO FOR IT.
If you have any questions ask anyone who has heard my system

what the headunit doing? You got the PG breaker yet?
Im gonna try and beg/borrow/steal a couple of 1000RMS demo amps from some of our suppliers at work to use at maxlive, cos at the moment, im gonna be running 700RMS or so into each sub, and they'll take plenty more than that!

Snowy you bought a Pheonix Gold breaker? They are like £50!! I have one myself but you can get MUCH cheaper than that which are just as good, i prefer fuses as they are a lot more reliable...

but breakers are easier to use in some systems when youre constantly changing things around!
He used to have an autoleads one, infact he had 3(i think) cos they kept going wrong. Think ive been lucky cos mine aint broken YET.
