Well with aftermarket management you'll be able to tune all of that more efficiently then and have a better base map.
And with aftermarket ECU you can prob raise the rev limiter then slightly.
What about decat/sports cat and/or port&polish head?

the dbilas ones run from the standard ecu. gotech would transform what you have now beyond belief. should easy see 160-170bhp out of it with that

Get it custom mapped, why you have all that fitted and havnt had it live mapped is beyond me!
But bear in mind without fully refresing the bottom end and uprating it to take the extra power your always going to be shortening the engine life somewhat.
If you just wanted cheap reliable power, a 3.0 V6 conversion would have cost you a grand, given you 200bhp and a shit load more torque, and as its still a standard lump it would have lasted longer than the shell!

I'd save up your pennys and get a Gotech Pro X Management. Then you really will have a nippy Corsa there.
I'm guessing that you've already uprated your sus and brakes???

gotech would be better, then a custom live map would be acheivable and really help bring everything together.
Without extensive head work theres not really much else left to do. Ive seen 250bhp C16's before but they were bespoke race engines that as a road application were far from cost efficient.

Gmax lol, get some Gaz gold coilovers, it will handle properly then. Also a front camber kit, front upper and lower strut braces. ARB lowering kit and poly bushes. poly bushes all round. rear strut brace and an astra gsi rear beam for the disc conversion with whiteline rear arb. power is nothing without control
if your going to go much further with tuning your better off dumpint the c16 in favour of an let if your searching for big power thats useable on the road

All that will add too power yes. And also strengthens the engine so will be able to handle more power.
I would suggest down the line upgrading the suspension, maybe coilovers eg Eibach?

theres no such thing as the right engine for a car lol. When you build a winning machine, you start with the best base possible for maximum reliable and cost effective power.
Ultimately theres no replacement for displacement, and since your not racing with CC regs you may as well bung in the best base motor and start from there. i wouldnt expect a C20XE to weigh anymore than 10kg over the weight of a C16XE and 15-20kg over an let with all its ancillaries.
The weight difference isnt even worth thinking about and wont affect handling at all. you wont be happy with the performance the C16 gives you for long, so why not LET it and start with over 200bhp to build from?

I know, but 250bhp as about the limit for a c16xe and it will barely have a serviceable lifespan in that guise. And with that were talking thousands of pounds of blueprinting, head work, custom valvetrain and engine management - it would be a pig to drive on the road too. Or you could bolt a c20let in thats just been refreshed, bang a nice fmic on it and up the boost and see 250bhp with much more useable midrange and a much longer lifespan with a hell of a lot smaller dent to your wallet... Theres always the option of 500bhp too if you wanted to spend divvy dosh, you cant get that from a c16xe

mine has the potential for 240+bhp, not fully mapped yet, and its not that bad to drive below 5,000rpm
