To cut a long story short, got pushed into a pool in magaluf with my iPhone in my pocket. Went crazy for a few days, home button wouldnt work, speakers fucked etc, but now it seems to all be working, except for the camera LED staying on, but not at full brightness.

Is there any chance apple would give me a new one on warranty, if I lie about it being submerged Saves me paying a fucking £100 excess

There are water indicators, White spots that turn pink when wet.

Guessing they will look for these, worth a try I suppose. Could replace camera and LED for about £5 and is a 5min job.

The gf put here in the washing machine (women !) so i put it in desicant which is better than rice left for a week.

Took it apart cleaned contacts with a tooth pick, could see the surface corrosion.

Fired back up with a new battey £5. It did have water still on the screen so left the back off and resealed with desicant and 3 days later gone.

Then the incall sensor played up so bleached water indicators and took it back under warrenty.

Opening it up would void your warranty?

Have to send the old one back, its just out of warranty so its being done out of goodwill. Water damage stickers are located in the headphone jack and in the bottom docking bit, both seem fine.
