I am wanting to paint up my washer jets and my roof rails could someone please give me advce on what I need to do please what sandpaper and stuff like that thanks very much people

use bout 800 grit wet and dry too get rid of any polish, or grease etc.. oh use it wet too, stops the paper clogging, then on the washers u will have to use plastic primer aswell

ok mate once its all sanded then I just prime it one coat or a couple ? also do I have to sand it down again once its primed with lighter paper or not thanks a lot mate appreciated, Paul...

dont sand down the plastic primers, its only vrey thin anyway, its also clear.
do a couple of coats of plastic primer, then paint them, you will need to use a high build primer on the roof rails instead though, i wouldnt bother sanding the primer on the washer jets cos they are so small anyway. also that plastic primer is mega thin and has a finnish like glass anyway.
defo sand the primer on the roof rails, with something like 1200 grit. then when its all painted, leave it a day then go over with rubbing compound, g7 if its solid, g10 if its a laquered colour.
