hey all
when im drving my car, i hear a tappin noise, its sounds like its coming from the rigt side of the engine bay, but when im idle, nothign at all, just when im moving.
Does anyone know what it could be??
its a Corsa B 1.4 Sri 8v and its just done 97000

give it a flush and an oil change see if that changes anything?

Mines exactly the same, nothing at idle, then when accelerator pressed, mine ticks like fcuk. Got a new gasket, bolts and springs in my toolbox at work, gonna fit them to where the manifold and down pipe bolt together, once my WD40s worked to stop the bolts snapping. Mines also a 1.4 8v Corsa b, with nearly 98,000 mls. With regards to flushing oil, get some kind of flush solution from a garage, pour in, leave for a while, then drain your oil, new filter, new oil, bobs your uncle

ill try that in a min. also what is best to check your oil? when its cold or when uve just been driving?

Could be an HT arcin out one of my spark plugs wos loose got the same symptons but the noise only happened occasionally tightened it up and problem solved should check oil on level ground with a cold engine fella

Update on my last reply, its actuall the manifold gasket thats leaking we think. Worse case is the manifolds cracked
